How to get to Rhodes

  • By Ferry: If you’re coming from within Greece, there’s a plethora of ferry routes to choose from. Direct services run from numerous ports including Crete (both Heraklion and Sitia), Milos, Santorini, Kos, Patmos, and more. The journey from Piraeus, though, is a bit of a marathon, taking around 15 hours on average. For the most comprehensive overview of your options, I always go to Ferryhopper. It’s my go-to for planning sea voyages to Rhodes, offering a clear view of all available routes.
  • By Plane: For those of us with just a sliver of time for our getaways, flying is the way to go. Thankfully, Rhodes is well connected by air. Aegean Airlines offers daily flights from Athens, whisking you to the island in no time. This is my preferred method—quick, efficient, and it maximizes my holiday time.
